ABOUT ME

I am an actor based out of New York City and have been working regionally, locally, and on tours for the last five years. Photography has always been a hobby and passion of mine, and it was not until I went on tour across the world that I realized how much I LOVE taking photos. My knowledge of the business and my own experience with casting directors, directors, talent agencies, and other artists has been a great influence on wanting to take headshots for fellow performers.

I know what it takes to hand over a headshot at an audition, stuff it in a mailing envelope, or see it sitting in front of a casting director as you're singing your "sixteen bars," and therefore I know what it takes to feel comfortable with that headshot. I take pictures that I believe not only LOOK like the person, but convey his or her energy as well...the same energy that you will hopefully bring with you into an audition room.

BEFORE YOUR SHOOT

In the days leading up to your photo shoot make sure to get plenty of rest, drink plenty of water, and try to avoid alcohol, caffeine, greasy foods, or anything else that might make your skin look less than radiant and magnificent!  You want to look rested, glowing, and feel (and look) your best when you’re in front of the camera.  Photoshop can get rid of minor flaws, but nothing can quite erase the gigantic bags under your eyes from a weekend full of partying!

AT THE SHOOT

Bring a variety of options for clothing, even if you are only looking to have one “look” photographed.  The camera loves bright and deep colored clothing, a little darker than your skin tone. Try to avoid whites and horizontal stripes or busy patterns.  I always say to wear something you feel happy and comfortable in, something that you would wear to an audition, or something that simply makes you look great!  We will talk about color and clothing options prior to your shoot.

PLEASE let me know what kind of performer you are, what kind of pictures you are looking for, and anything about yourself that will inform me in taking your photos.  I want your pictures not only LOOK like you but also convey your energy, the energy you bring to an audition room or onto stage.

AFTER THE SHOOT

Within 24-48 hours after the shoot, all of your photos will be posted online for you to share with your friends, family, agents, etc.  I will e-mail this link to you and these photos will be available on my website for one month.  I will also get you a CD with all of your photos from the shoot.

Once you decide which photo(s) you want to get printed, I will get you a full-quality file of that picture for you to bring to Reproductions or any other printing agency to have your prints retouched and printed.  I can do retouching for online work, but I recommend getting professional retouching for any pictures you want printed.
